Entry 69: Part 2 of day 1 in hatyat!

Done with all the temple in town .Ah Pon sent us to the streets and we carried on walking along the streets of Hatyat.

Next Objectives : 包佛椑

Sounds strange?Well its just wrapping those Buddha pieces inside a acrylic holder.

well...Went around searching for cheap and great deals...

Many offered 60 baht.

=60/23.2

=$2.60

Well for just $2.60 it is really considered as a steal compared to those price offered in singapore.

It should be around $10? In bugis?

Went around this area which is actually under a traffic bridge. They actually offered 40 baht.

So Its around $ 1.74

WAHH!HHHHHH! Such a steal...

Its really like doing DNT shaping measuring the acrylic then fit the 椑 within the acrylic.

Ah... Long wait you know? like waited for 2 hrs watching uncle crafted the 佛椑 exterior.

Walked around......

Kinda lost this time.No idea where we were?

SO some how or another we walk to this stretch of "market" .Where locals buy their vegetables and all sort of stuff.

As you can see.all sort of food items are on sale by the road.

Bought the Ungrounded pepper from there.

Dad tried bargaining with the shopkeeper For ONCE it was to no avail.

Love this shot that i have take It looks so fusion of so many diffrent colours and taste in the picture.

We actually wandered further in ,into the market place.This was where they sell more on clothes and bags.

Expensive i would describe it.

Shopping was rather terrible as shopkeepers simply do not want to bring down the price :~

Bought a couple of socks and boxers as its like damn cheap lor...

Thats the market place where i did my forst round of shopping. Kinda battled.

Around 5 or 6 Pm local time....

This time we were seriously lost in the city .

Asked for directions from a group of local students.

After much hand signs and dramatic actions portrayed from DAD and one of them....

We were mistakenly directed to another market place.

which wasnt quite a bad thing actually.When we were suppose to get back to the hotel.As it is turning dark soon....

Why would I say that it wasnt a bad thing ?

Because

1) Drank the best longan drink.

You see that chendol looking liquid at the extreme right?

That was even better.!

2)Bought my spectacles in one of the stalls.(sexy crimson red)

3) Met this beautiful Thai girl. Just youthfully 15. She looks so chinese wor...

4) Got my MaMa fravouite Cuttlefish.

Great Thing we were misleaded to this market place . Isnt it?

You get to see you get to frink You get to bargain....

7 Pm local time...

The hotel has a gorgeous chandelier hanging just right above the lobby .

. .

Rest In the Hotel room for a hour or so....

so its like ........

8 Pm Local time......

Dinner!

Can you believe that we actually ate KFC in thailand?

OK...KFC was terrible....

so was their chilli sauce. :(

Im kinda fussy about chilli sauce lor...

Well skip that part about..the terrible dinner.

Dessert was Ice -cream!

Dad and his friend chose this weird ice cream.

Mango rice ice cream.

(Well you know,rice and ice-cream dont really mix.)

This was on offer for about 49 baht.

Chocloate Millionare which comes with Hot chocloate fudge

Went Out of the mall and did some window shopping....

Back to the hotel at 10 pm.

Nothing to do so we went to the Lounge downstairs.

Looking for songs to sing in the darkness.

papa can K too ok!

haix..im only allowed this sakura blended cocktail.

No heineken for me..~

Done with the night.

Entry 68: Back from Hatyat Thailand

Its finally 31 st of march. ready for my trip to thailand.Well i actually have to work before leaving in the evening.

Dad leaving the house with a Uper-large luggage bag !!!

Ate the last meal in singapore. Wah ! :P

Its so delicious you know?

Papa settled the documents for the bus trip.

Comfortable and spacious seating.

Which did not made the long ride a terrible one.

The very first stop which we arrived at Yong peng malaysia at ard 9pm.

some kind of yeeme on a hotplate.

Left the first stop and watch a movie called --Taken.

Its not out at the theaters yet. so just wait till its debut in Singapore.

1 Hr...later

3 hr ...later

Its about 3 pm now...

we had once again stop for another break.Manage to get catch some sleep on the bumpy ride.

Guess what we ate this time?

Not so nice tasting wanton mee... :(

Stop again its now 5 pm .

Duty free shopping!!! @_@!!!

Wanted to buy Abosolute vodka but....Dad told me that its is more expensive in this duty free shop.So we did not get any Vodka.Well love the bottle of the Absolute vodka.Wanted to mix it with sprite .haha can drink it in the hotel.

6.30Pm

We reach the border between Thailand and Malaysia.

When on to get the travel documents done.

Changed sing dollars to thai baht exchange it for onli 23.2

Left the hotel and to the streets .

The city of hatyat is so vibrant in the sense that there are actually so many things going around you .

As you can see from the photo.The electrical cable are actually overhanging .

Traffic is considered slow and the pace is extremely slow.

Drove around the city roads .Searching for Tasty Thai breakfast.

Thinking of something very much diffrent? hahas well its still kuay Diao dry in thailand for breakfast.

Softdrinks in a glass bottle. Something very Retro .

Left the noodle shop and off to the roads again and its only 10 am only!

so its about 11 am singapore time.

Bikes everywhere!

This kind of noodle shop is everywhere. The "kitchen" is facing the road.While we sit inside.

When to this charitable organisation in the outskit of the city .Its objectives were to help accident surviviors during in an event where they would be deployed to the accident scence.

Accidentally fired a flash in the temple.Somehow dad did not notice it at all.

isit that unnoticable when a flash is fired?

Went to the second temple in the city.关公庙

Simple yet elegant temple.

If you studied chinese history.You should know that this is Guan gong's horse call qian li ma.

Dad bought those candles on behalf of his colleague.
Candles are about a meter long. Just makes me wonder how long would it take to finish the candle?

Thats how many candles we bought....around 12?
